Improv Classes

As actors, Improvisors strive to “behave truthfully under imaginary circumstances” but as writers Improvisors are also creating those imaginary circumstances in real time! 

 

Our core training program is broken up into four courses to first develop the skills an actor needs to be present and truthful in the moment through the lens of character and an emotional point of view. After building this base the program focuses on developing the writer by utilizing the “Game of the Scene” approach to long form improv as developed by the Upright Citizens Brigade.

 

Beyond the four core levels we offer an ongoing weekly practice group called Flex Your Head open to anyone with basic improv training and we also have  Advanced Performance Classes for graduates of any long form improv training program that will focus on learning and performing different forms.

 

Community is at the core of improv and we are building one by forming teams from graduating classes, bringing together like-minded people to find opportunities to perform.
